We always want to stock potatoes as a daily staple and we don’t want them to rot easily.
That’s why we put them inside the fridge. But according to Potato Growers of Alberta, root vegies should be place in a cold, dark and dry place. The coldness of the fridge is not ideal for them because it will make the starch turn to sugar more quickly. So we better keep them out of the fridge and always to remove them from plastic bags or paper bags that they may have been placed in. Put them in a well-ventilated cardboard box unwashed.
